ABOUT TRAINING

Seminar training

Welcome to the 2025 Seminar on Safety Governance of Agricultural-Livestock and fishery Products of Asian Countries.

This seminar began as a cooperative project in the field of livestock hygiene as part of economic cooperation following the entry into force of the Trade in Goods Agreement of the Korea-ASEAN FTA in 2007, and has been expanded to the agricultural and fishery products sector, and more than 380 participants have attended so far.

As imports and exports have expanded due to the development of technologies such as logistics and transportation, the safety management of agricultural, livestock and fisheries products in a country has become not only a problem for itself. Food can also be the most fundamental threat for everyone to "eat" and live.

420,000 people still die of unsafe food every year according to Joint Statement by FAO, WHO and WTO. No matter how much food safety is emphasized, it can be said that it is insufficient.

Organized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of Korea, we hope this seminar will further develop each country's food safety management system and provide an opportunity for safer foods to come and go in a huge market called Asia.
